The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of actress Mary Beth Hurt at 79 years old.<\/p>\n

Family members say she passed away on Saturday, more than a decade after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.<\/p>\n

Hurt earned three Tony nominations for her work on stage in “Crimes of the Heart,” “Trelawny of the Wells” and “Benefactors.”<\/p>\n

She also appeared on TV and in movies, including “Interiors,” “The World According to Garp” and “The Age of Innocence.”<\/p>\n

Hurt, who was once married to actor William Hurt, is survived by her husband, writer-director Paul Schrader, and the couple’s two children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
