The group took a hiatus in 2023 after releasing their album Screen Violence<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tOn Friday night Chvrches<\/a> performed together for the first time in nearly three years and took the opportunity to showcase a new song, \u201cConman.\u201d The group appeared as part of Robert Smith<\/a>\u2019s Teenage Cancer Trust\u2019s Royal Albert Hall<\/a> concert series, which also featured Garbage, My Bloody Valentine, and Elbow. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI promise I\u2019m not just inside watching telly all the time, we have been making a record,\u201d singer Lauren Mayberry<\/a> told the audience. \u201cAnd we thought, since this is a special night, we would play something off that record for you guys. So be kind to us, we\u2019ve never played this in front of human beings before.\u201d<\/p>\n
