BBC host Amol Rajan has been tipped for a role on the second series of The Celebrity Traitors<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Sun<\/a> has reported that Rajan<\/a>, who is known for his presenting work on University Challenge<\/a> and the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, has signed up to join the cast in the Scottish castle when the show begins filming later this year.<\/p>\n A source told the publication: \u201cGetting Amol is a massive coup. He is used to holding the country\u2019s sharpest minds to account and spotting a lie from a mile away on the Today programme.<\/p>\n \u201cProducers know he won\u2019t be easily fooled by his fellow celebrities. He has the perfect poker face and the academic brains to go all the way, whether Claudia taps him on the shoulder to be a Traitor or leaves him as a Faithful.\u201d<\/p>\n The source added: \u201cAmol is a huge fan of the show and couldn\u2019t resist the chance to take part. Viewers are going to see a completely different, much more ruthless side to him.\u201d<\/p>\n A BBC spokesperson said in a statement: \u201cWe aren\u2019t commenting on speculation and details for The Celebrity Traitors series two will be announced in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n Amol Rajan.\u00a0BBC\/Lifted Entertainment, Part of ITV Studios\/Ric Lowe<\/span><\/p>\n Rajan announced back in January that he would be stepping down from<\/a> his role on BBC\u2019s Today programme later this year, saying in a statement that he is unleashing his “inner entrepreneur” to launch his own unspecified company.<\/p>\n The BBC is yet to reveal any of the names set to appear on the upcoming second season of Celebrity Traitors, with the likes of actor Michael Sheen<\/a>, singer Cheryl Tweedy<\/a> and Hugh Grant<\/a> among the big names being thrown into the mix.<\/p>\n Accept and continue<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Celebrity Traitors host Claudia Winkleman previously teased that a terrific line-up has been confirmed. <\/p>\n Speaking on The One Show on Wednesday (25 March), she said: \u201cThe people who make it are extraordinary and they had to repeat the people twice to me because I was like, \u2018Huh, are you joking?
