{"id":2351572,"date":"2026-03-30T15:41:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T15:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2351572"},"modified":"2026-03-30T15:41:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T15:41:36","slug":"seattle-mariners-king-5-announce-tv-plan-to-air-10-games-entertainment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/seattle-mariners-king-5-announce-tv-plan-to-air-10-games-entertainment\/","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Mariners, KING 5 announce TV plan to air 10 games | Entertainment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-body\" itemprop=\"articleBody\" false=\"\">\n                                <meta itemprop=\"isAccessibleForFree\" content=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Amid the upheaval in local baseball broadcasts, the Mariners have reached an agreement with a local TV station to air 10 games for free this season.<\/p>\n<p>KING 5 will have exclusive rights for those select games, starting with the Mariners\u2019 April 10 game vs. the Houston Astros at T-Mobile Park.<\/p>\n<p>Those broadcasts will be available for free to more than\u00a0four\u00a0million households in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawai\u02bbi, the team announced Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement continues a hectic opening week of broadcasting developments for the Mariners.<\/p>\n<p>Last September, the Mariners announced plans to shutter their regional sports network, ROOT Sports Northwest, and join MLB\u2019s new media-rights wing to create the new Mariners TV and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/Mariners.TV\">Mariners.TV<\/a> streaming service.<\/p>\n<p>MLB now oversees production and distribution for games for the Mariners and 13 other teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new broadcasting plans left some fans in the dark last week as MLB negotiated deals with cable and satellite carries up until the start of the new season.
