Someone get Sweden on the phone because it\u2019s looking like <\/span>Paul McCartney<\/b> deserves serious Nobel Peace Prize consideration: At his concert in Los Angeles Sunday night, <\/span>Taylor Swift <\/b>and <\/span>Olivia Rodrigo<\/b> were spotted together, chatting with friends. Well, <\/span>potentially<\/span><\/i> together, but certainly in very close quarters!!<\/span><\/p>\n

In a series of grainy photos posted by DeuxMoi, Taylor and Olivia appear to be standing next to each other after the concert, having a nice time, not being awkward.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be fair, two of pop music\u2019s biggest artists simply being in each other\u2019s presence would not usually warrant commenting, but there\u2019s been <\/span>tension<\/span><\/a> between Taylor and Olivia for years now, so this proximity might be a sign that their relationship is warming back up. In case you need a refresher: In 2021, while promoting her debut album, <\/span>Sour<\/span><\/i>, Olivia talked about how \u201cDeja Vu\u201d was directly inspired by \u201cCruel Summer\u201d; she later spoke about how she \u201cinterpolated\u201d Taylor\u2019s song \u201cNew Year\u2019s Day\u201d in \u201c1 step forward, 3 steps back.\u201d Taylor, <\/span>Jack Antonoff<\/b>, and <\/span>St. Vincent <\/b>were eventually given songwriter credits for \u201cDeja Vu,\u201d which was reported with a lot of positive spin but signaled that some awkward phone calls between the artists and\/or their representatives had happened behind the scenes. (<\/span>This did not help Taylor\u2019s reputation as a shrewd-to-a-fault business woman, the epitome of someone getting their bag.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Then, when Olivia\u2019s second album dropped in 2023, fans speculated that at least two songs (including one called \u201cThe Grudge\u201d\u2026) were about the whole songwriting debacle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Things were pretty quiet for a few years. But that this (potential) reunion comes six months after Taylor dropped <\/span>The Life of a Showgirl<\/span><\/i> is particularly interesting, given that \u201cFather Figure,\u201d one of the album\u2019s best songs (in my opinion), was a pretty thinly veiled, defensive song about not fucking with her business acumen. (Taylor denied it and said the song was inspired by Logan Roy<\/strong>\u2026OK.)<\/span><\/p>\n

But maybe now that they\u2019ve both gotten their shots in, Taylor and Olivia are on an even playing field and ready to make amends. Or maybe it was simply the magic of Paul McCartney\u2019s lyricism that inspired them to bury the hatchet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
