Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie won\u2019t join the Royal
\nFamily as it gathers in Windsor to mark Easter.<\/p>\n

The princesses and their families have made alternative
\narrangements and won\u2019t been seen at St. George\u2019s Chapel this Sunday
\nas the royals gather there.<\/p>\n

King Charles and Queen Camilla will lead the Royal Family at the
\nEaster Sunday celebrations which will start with attendance at the
\nmorning service at St. George\u2019s Chapel.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s expected that the wider family will then spend time
\ntogether in Windsor Castle over the Bank Holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

There had been speculation about whether Beatrice and Eugenie
\nwould be seen at this first major gathering of the Royal Family
\nsince the arrest of their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.<\/p>\n

He was detained by officers under suspicion of misconduct in
\npublic office and was released 11 hours later, without charge but
\nunder investigation.<\/p>\n

His new home on the Sandringham estate was searched at the same
\ntime as was his former residence at Royal Lodge on the Windsor
\nestate.<\/p>\n

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was named numerous times in the
\nEpstein files, as was his former wife, Sarah Ferguson. Both have
\nfaced scrutiny over their friendships with convicted sex offender,
\nJeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

Both princesses are also mentioned in the files which also
\nrevealed that their mother took them to visit Epstein after his
\nrelease from prison for soliciting a minor for prostitution. Both
\nwere adults at the time.<\/p>\n

The King stripped his younger brother of his royal titles in the
\nautumn with Sarah Ferguson also losing her courtesy title.
\nBeatrice and Eugenie remain princesses<\/a> and HRHs under the 1917
\nLetters Patent issued by King George V which states that all
\ngrandchildren of a Monarch in the male line can hold those
\ntitles.<\/p>\n

In recent years, King Charles had invited former prince Andrew
\nand Sarah Ferguson to Easter celebrations at Windsor, along with
\ntheir daughters, but that is now at a close.<\/p>\n

The alternative arrangements of Beatrice and Eugenie haven\u2019t
\nbeen revealed. Princess Eugenie spends part of the year in Portugal
\nwhere her husband, Jack Brooksbank, has business interests.<\/p>\n

Princess Beatrice\u2019s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has been
\nseen frequently in the US in recent weeks, leading to some
\nspeculation about the state of his marriage to the ninth in line to
\nthe throne. The couple have since been seen enjoying dinner
\ntogether in London.<\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace only said that The King and Queen would lead
\nthe Royal Family at Windsor over Easter \u2013 it\u2019s not clear whether
\nthe Prince and Princess of Wales will be there along with their
\nchildren. Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10 and 7 year old
\nPrince Louis are currently school holidays. George will return for
\none final term at his preparatory school at Lambrook after Easter
\nand then move on to secondary school in September.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Easter Sunday, King Charles will carry out the annual
\ntradition of handing out Maundy Money this Thursday. Along with
\nQueen Camilla he will travel to the cathedral in St. Asaph where he
\nwill present 77 men and 77 women with special purses of money. The
\nnumber of recipients always matches the Monarch\u2019s age. The
\ntradition replaced the former practice of the king or queen washing
\nthe feet of the poor on Maundy Thursday, just as Jesus had washed
\nthe feet of his disciples.<\/p>\n
