YORKTOWN\u2014 The Gallery at York Hall opens on Tuesday, April 1, for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

York County says the operating hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday (excluding Easter). Admission is free. The Gallery is located at 301 Main Street in Historic Yorktown and is a cooperative effort between the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County.<\/p>\n

Managed by volunteer Sharon Owen, the Gallery features the works of more than 300 local artists, along with a variety of themed exhibits that change every six to eight weeks. The county says the staff of 30-plus volunteers serve the community by maintaining an information area for visitors, offering brochures, maps, and discounts, along with friendly service and hospitality.<\/p>\n

This season kicks off with a Joy of Spring Exhibit in April and May, showcasing photography by Shirley Whitenack. Exhibits featuring paintings, basketry, and quilts by local artists are planned for this summer. Local acoustic guitarist Lou Vangieri will be performing from noon to 2:30 p.m. on select dates in the lobby.<\/p>\n

The county says that the gallery remains one of the most unique locations to purchase Yorktown souvenirs, including items featuring the popular Yorktown Onion, The Fifes & Drums of York Town, Revolutionary-era soldiers, and nautical-themed art.<\/p>\n
