Basketball Hall of Famer Julius \u201cDr. J.\u201d Erving said he enjoys golf because it brings people together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cGolf is one of those sports where you can communicate. You know, it\u2019s not out there knocking one another\u2019s heads off like you do with football, or elbowing and kneeing like you do in basketball or hockey or soccer or whatever, it\u2019s more sane and civilized.\u201d Erving told WMNF.<\/p>\n
Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson said he came to Tampa to support his friend and play a sport he loves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cFor the last few months, I\u2019ve been playing a little erratic, but, you know, you always think you\u2019ve found something. I\u2019m not going to say I got it because the golf gods will come down and wreak havoc on me. So I\u2019m going to say I\u2019m close to getting it.\u201d Anderson told WMNF.<\/p>\n
Bullard\u2019s foundation has hosted various giveaways throughout Tampa, including back-to-school backpack giveaways and Christmas giveaways.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nOrganizers say proceeds from the event will go to youth development, education, and family stability.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
