The Oscar winner<\/span>\u00a0is set to star in a new limited series about the investigation into late sex offender<\/span> <\/strong>Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong><\/a>, E! News has learned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on the book <\/span>Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story<\/span> by <\/span>Miami Herald <\/span>journalist<\/span> Julie K. Brown<\/strong>, the show will follow Brown\u2019s journey uncovering the truths about Epstein and his sex abuse crimes in 2017 and 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dern, 59, will be playing Brown in the Sony Pictures TV project, which marks the first scripted series to be centered on the Epstein case.<\/span><\/p>\n
