Olivia Munn shared a health update on her breast cancer journey after being diagnosed in 2023<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
The actress said she’s “doing great” but the side effects of her medication have been “tough” to deal with<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
She’s been transparent about dealing with breast cancer in hopes of helping others and encouraging early detection<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Olivia Munn<\/a> is sharing an update on her \u201ctough\u201d\u00a0 breast cancer<\/a> journey.<\/p>\n On Monday, March 30, the Your Friends & Neighbors<\/em><\/a> star, 45, made an appearance on Good Morning America<\/em> for a sit-down interview with hosts Robin Roberts<\/a>, George Stephanopoulos<\/a> and Lara Spencer<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actress revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer<\/a> the year before, after tests revealed she had luminal B, a fast-moving, aggressive cancer, in both breasts \u2014 despite having had \u201cno symptoms\u201d and a \u201cclear mammogram.\u201d<\/p>\n During the show, Roberts thanked Munn for being so open about her journey and asked how she\u2019s been doing.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m doing great. I have to say because of people like you who are so open, it made it so much easier for someone like me to talk about it,\u201d she replied, referring to Roberts, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd, you know, the impetus for wanting to talk about it was that I had something that I knew would help women \u2014 something that was free, like the lifetime risk assessment test,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt\u2019s a free online test. You know, she was diagnosed<\/a> about a year after I was diagnosed.\u201d<\/p>\n
