King Charles is reportedly considering making a very significant offer to Prince Harry and Meghan, six years on from their royal exit.<\/p>\n

Having evicted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their UK base, Frogmore Cottage, in early 2023, it\u2019s possible he will now give them Royal Lodge within the Windsor estate.<\/p>\n

It was recently vacated by the disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.<\/p>\n

The King evicted his brother in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, forcing him to relocate to the much more modest Wood Farm Cottage in Norfolk.<\/p>\n

In an article on Substack<\/a>, royal columnist Rob Shuter quoted a number of sources who claimed that the monarch is now keen to bury the hatchet with his son and daughter-in-law, who are currently based in Montecito.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis would be the ultimate olive branch. Charles wants unity,\u201d one source told the writer.<\/p>\n

\u201cOffering Harry a significant Windsor property would send a powerful message that the door is still open.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, as another source explained to Shuter, the sprawling Royal Lodge is \u201cexpensive to maintain, in need of serious repairs, and weighed down by years of controversy\u201d.<\/p>\n

The intriguing housing development comes off the back of well-publicised moves toward reconciliation between Prince Harry and his father.<\/p>\n

After years of distance, the pair finally met up<\/a> in September, marking the first time they\u2019d seen each other in more than 18 months.<\/p>\n

After weeks of \u201cwill they, won\u2019t they?\u201d coverage in the lead-up to Harry\u2019s visit to London, the pair were both pictured arriving at Clarence House within minutes of each other for a long-awaited chat.<\/p>\n

While still a brief catch-up at just 55 minutes, it was clearly a positive one and came amid months of widespread reports that the pair\u2019s relationship was going from strength to strength.<\/p>\n

And at an Invictus Games event following the meeting in September, a smiling Harry was heard responding to a question about his father, confirming: \u201cYes, he\u2019s great, thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Andrew scandal continues to cast a shadow over the royal family, with the disgraced former prince now holed up, largely in isolation, in Norfolk in the wake of his arrest.<\/p>\n

However, the Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Household, Richard Benyon, was spotted driving<\/a> out of Wood Farm Cottage on the property on Monday, according to The Mirror<\/i>.<\/p>\n

His role is the most senior in the household, and has him overseeing more than 1000 staffers and liaising between the King and the House of Lords, the UK parliament upper chamber.<\/p>\n

The senior Palace official stayed for around two hours, though it is not known what the meeting between the pair was about.<\/p>\n

The King himself is currently staying on the same estate, though it\u2019s understood he has not visited his brother, nor has any plans to \u2013 despite being just a couple of kilometres away.<\/p>\n

Thames Valley Police swooped on Andrew\u2019s new home last month and arrested him on suspicion of misconduct in public office for around 11 hours before releasing him.<\/p>\n

He has denied all allegations of wrongdoing but remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
