Scott Mills says ‘I should probably go’ in his last BBC Radio 2 show<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Scott Mills<\/a> told Radio 2 listeners he should “probably go” just hours before being sacked. <\/a>The BBC<\/a> radio legend has been sacked by the BBC after almost three decades with the corporation. It’s since been revealed that the BBC\u2019s decision to sack Scott relates to a 2016 police investigation into \u201cserious sexual offences\u201d against a teenage boy<\/u><\/a>. Mills was questioned by police under caution but the case was dropped because of a lack of evidence. However the Mirror<\/u><\/a> understands the sacking relates to this individual.<\/p>\n

On March 24, Scott, 53, presented his last show,<\/a> The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Radio 2 on March 24, and during his final words, he hinted that he may be leaving. <\/a>“I’m getting everything mixed up today,” adding: “I should probably go, I’ll try again tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

But while handing over to Vernon Kay, Scott added: “Meatloaf and Cher, today on Radio 2, Jo Whiley, Sara Cox at 4[pm] tea time, Trevor Nelson through the afternoon, Jeremy Vine<\/a> at 12[pm] and now, Vernon Kay. What a song to finish on.”<\/p>\n
