The King and Queen will make a State Visit to the United States
\nof America.<\/p>\n

King Charles and Queen
\nCamilla<\/a> have accepted an invitation from US President, Donald
\nTrump, who is expected to host his royal visitors at the White
\nHouse.<\/p>\n

Full details of the Visit and the exact dates will be announced
\nshortly but the King and Queen will undertake the trip in
\nApril.<\/p>\n

It will be the first State Visit of the reign of King Charles
\nIII to the US.<\/p>\n

The last State Visit by a British Monarch to the US was almost
\n20 years ago. Queen Elizabeth II made a State Visit to Washington
\nin 2007 when she was hosted by President George W Bush.<\/p>\n

The late Queen made a total of four State Visits to the US with
\nher other trips coming in 1957, 1991 and in 1976 when Her Late
\nMajesty\u2019s time there co-incided with the 200th anniversary of the
\nDeclaration of Independence.<\/p>\n

The State Visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla comes as the
\nUS marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n

In September 2025,, US President Donald Trump made a high
\nprofile State Visit to the UK where he stayed at Windsor Castle as
\na guest of The King. It was an historic visit as it was the first
\ntime an elected politician had paid two State Visits to the UK.
\nDonald Trump\u2019s first State Visit was held in the reign of Queen
\nElizabeth II and the second was made possible as he had a break of
\nfour years between his two terms in office.<\/p>\n

Following the State Visit to the US, Queen Camilla will return
\nto the UK. King Charles will head to Bermuda for a Royal
\nVisit.<\/a><\/p>\n

It will be the first time a reigning King has visited Bermuda.
\nThe last visit by a British Monarch was in 2009 when Queen
\nElizabeth II was on the island.<\/p>\n

This is the first outgoing State Visit of 2026. In March, King
\nCharles and Queen Camilla hosted the President of Nigeria on an
\nincoming State Visit.<\/p>\n

As well as this high profile trip, designed to cement ties
\nbetween the UK and the US, there is continued speculation that the
\nPrince and Princess of Wales will visit the US in the summer.<\/p>\n
