The Eurovision<\/a> Song Contest has heralded a \u201cnew chapter\u201d as it announced an Asian<\/a> version of the popular international singing competition.<\/p>\n

The new competition will debut in 2026 and will be held in Bangkok<\/a>, which has been chosen as the host city for its inaugural edition.<\/p>\n

Ten countries have announced they will be participating so far, including Thailand<\/a>, Vietnam, and the Philippines, with more to follow.<\/p>\n

A promotional video for the upcoming competition features scenic clips of some of the competing nations, as a voice over states: \u201cIn Asia<\/a>, the possibilities are even greater.\u201d<\/p>\n
