Connor Storrie<\/a> is back on our screens\u2014for an unexpected reason. The Heated Rivalry<\/em> star<\/a> is the leading man in a new Verizon ad, which is really more of a short film\u2014where thriller meets satire\u2014directed by Nia DaCosta.<\/p>\n

In the nearly five-minute video, the actor is seen walking around a secluded cabin in the woods, growing more and more suspicious as he continues to hear creepy noises indicating someone else is there with him\u2014or trying to get in.<\/p>\n

Storrie<\/a>\u2014in a tight gray tank and blue jeans\u2014grabs a kitchen knife for protection, talks himself out of panicking several times, and lurks around the dimly-lit home until he gets a text from a stranger. \u201cI\u2019m coming for you,\u201d it reads. \u201cI\u2019m here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slowly, Storrie opens the front door only to find an Uber driver standing outside. \u201cAre you Connor S?\u201d the driver asks, before spotting Storrie\u2019s knife and quickly fleeing. \u201cIt\u2019s for vegetables,\u201d Storrie insists of the knife before turning away.<\/p>\n

When he gets back inside, now at ease, Storrie uses his Verizon mobile app to lock the doors and turn on the lights in the home. (This is meant to highlight that Verizon can provide you with perfect network access and reliable service everywhere you go.)<\/p>\n

Finally feeling safe, the actor slides his cell into his back jeans pocket. At his move, the camera zooms in, filling the screen with Storrie\u2019s (and Ilya Rozanov\u2019s) famous glutes. Four words flash over it: \u201cBest butt. Best network.\u201d And the film concludes.<\/p>\n

Apart from this ad, Storrie has landed quite a few roles since his breakout role in the popular queer hockey romance show, Heated Rivalry<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He stars in the indie sci-fi film April X<\/em>, which will have a wide release this summer. He\u2019ll appear in Peaked<\/em>, an upcoming A24 high school reunion comedy directed by Molly Gordon. And he is also gearing up for the release of Transaction Planet<\/em>, Storrie\u2019s self-funded directorial debut feature, which he also wrote and reportedly shot entirely on an iPhone.<\/p>\n
