Posted to their social media accounts, the message comes after a period of relative quiet from the pair. In it, they emphasize both their renewed creative energy and the strength of their friendship, while teasing the release of a new single titled \u201cSay So.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHi,<\/em><\/p>\n

As you know, we\u2019ve been quiet for a while, and we just wanted to start by saying thank you so much for being patient with us. No, we didn\u2019t almost break up again lol. In fact, our friendship is stronger than ever, and we\u2019re really proud of that. Over the past year, we have gotten to spend more time in the studio together than we have since we made the Where It All Began album in 2013, and that has been so life-giving.<\/em><\/p>\n

Even though we\u2019ve missed seeing everyone on the road (that changes soon\u2014stay tuned), and keeping up with you on socials, we\u2019ve had what we feel is the most inspired burst of creativity in our entire career, and we wanted to capture every bit of it. Sounds clich\u00e9 for an artist to say, but these songs really are more personal and honest than anything we have ever done before. Because the music means so much to us, we have held it close and obsessed over every detail, but now we are ready to start sharing it with the world.<\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019re beyond excited to announce that the first single, \u2018Say So,\u2019 will be yours this Thursday at 11 PM CT.<\/em><\/p>\n

This song is a true story about a friend who we lost not long ago, and we hope it offers strength and encouragement to anyone going through a tough time. The subject matter is heavy, it is serious, it is timely, and it is something we feel is important to talk about. We also worked hard to create our most powerful music video yet, and it will be released at the same time. It would mean a whole lot to us if you took a few minutes to check it out.<\/em><\/p>\n
