With the Laguna Beach<\/em> reunion on the horizon, Lauren Conrad <\/strong>and the rest of the gang are back in the spotlight again. And if you were wondering what LC has been up to in the past few decades, the reality star\/designer opened up to People<\/em>,<\/a> sharing her thoughts on stepping out of the spotlight, parenting, and more.<\/p>\n Okay, so LC didn\u2019t exactly disappear from the public eye the way co-stars Jessica Smith<\/strong> (prior to the reunion, the mom was living her best life in Texas) and Dieter Schmitz <\/strong>(he traded reality TV for a career in hospitality and hotel management) did. Conrad famously transitioned from high school star to budding fashionista on MTV\u2019s The Hills<\/em>, launched her LC Lauren Conrad clothing line for Kohl\u2019s, and now pretty much runs a mini lifestyle empire.<\/p>\n Eventually, Conrad traded late nights at Les Deux for late-night diaper changes. She married her husband, lawyer and former musician, William Tell<\/strong>, in 2014. The couple welcomed their first son, Liam<\/strong>, in 2017 and had another child, Charlie<\/strong>, two years later in 2019. According to LC\u2019s latest interview, she left the spotlight and moved to her hometown four years ago, telling People<\/em>, \u201cNobody cares who I am here.\u201d<\/p>\n Of course, LC didn\u2019t only share her decision to move out of the public eye in her new interview. The mom of two also opened up about parenting her boys, praising her husband\u2019s skills. Conrad shared with People<\/em>, \u201cHe\u2019s so engaged with our kids\u2026He\u2019s the parent who does funny voices when her reads stories, he coaches every team they\u2019re on. It\u2019s been really fun to parent together.\u201d The reality star also talked about how lucky she feels to raise her children, \u201cin the same space I grew up. It\u2019s a really special place.\u201d<\/p>\n Conrad (and her interview) got plenty of praise online. Fans flocked to People\u2019s<\/em> Instagram<\/a> page, writing comments like, \u201cWe miss you, LC,\u201d \u201cExactly why I love you<\/a>. You always stay true to yourself and your friends,\u201d and, \u201cOne of the few that came out of reality television thriving and still being grounded and humble. Go LC!\u201d<\/p>\n Even though most of the comments were over-the-top raves in support of LC, some weren\u2019t as positive. One commenter pointed out that she wasn\u2019t the only Laguna Beach <\/em>alum to leave the limelight, \u201cI mean tbh the whole cast literally stepped away from fame. I think they\u2019ve all had the privilege of raising their families away from fame and the spotlight.
