Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/a> alum Dan Levy<\/strong><\/a> is paying tribute to his onscreen mom, Catherine O\u2019Hara<\/strong><\/a>, two months after her death.<\/p>\n

Levy, 42, was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, March 31, and took a moment to remember O\u2019Hara after host Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> told him he was \u201cso sorry about the passing\u201d of the actress.<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, it\u2019s like a collective loss, I think,\u201d Levy said<\/a>. \u201cShe was the greatest. She\u2019s irreplaceable. I think the great comfort for me has just been to see how loved she was. The outpouring \u2026 everyone felt like they kind of knew her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon, 51, praised O\u2019Hara for being \u201cone of the funniest comedians I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d to which Levy responded that the actress was \u201cunbelievably talented at improvising.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCatherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s Schitt\u2019s Creek costars are mourning the death of their former costar. \u201cWhat a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s brilliance for all those years,\u201d Dan Levy wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 30. \u201cHaving spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOne of the great, great, great queens,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara died<\/a> in Los Angeles at age 71 on January 30 \u201cfollowing a brief illness,\u201d her talent agency, the Creative Artists Agency, said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em> at the time.<\/p>\n

In February, TMZ reported that O\u2019Hara\u2019s primary cause of death<\/a> was a pulmonary embolism, citing an L.A. County Department of Public Health report. Rectal cancer was listed as the underlying cause, said the outlet.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara played Moira Rose in the hit sitcom Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em> alongside Levy, who played her son David, Levy\u2019s father, Eugene Levy<\/strong>, who played Rose family patriarch Johnny Rose, and Annie Murphy<\/strong> as Moira\u2019s daughter Alexis. Levy cocreated the show with his father.<\/p>\n
