Tristan Thompson<\/strong><\/a> made a rare comment about how the mothers of his kids \u2014 including Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 are now \u201call friends\u201d after past drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all friends. We\u2019re all family,\u201d Thompson, 35, shared on a recent episode of \u201cThe Katie Miller Podcast\u201d<\/a> about the different dynamics. \u201cWe all have each other\u2019s contact info. We\u2019re all in a great place, because I think that\u2019s the No. 1 thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cAt the end of the day \u2014 no matter how you chop it up and no matter how you want to put it together \u2014 we\u2019re all tied together. We\u2019re all family, and our kids are all siblings. They\u2019re going to be in each other\u2019s life for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thompson credited everyone in the situation<\/a> for being \u201cmature enough to understand what\u2019s the most important thing,\u201d adding, \u201cIt\u2019s our little tribe. \u2026 Coparenting [has been] great. The mothers of my children, they\u2019ve been amazing. All of us are mature enough to understand that we all want to be great as parents.\u201d<\/p>\n

The professional basketball player is glad to be \u201con the same line of communication.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut what we\u2019ve learned is that we just want the best for our children. It\u2019s very easy to coparent when you have the same beliefs that you want best for the kids. Life is life,\u201d he explained. \u201cAs long as you have a strong support system and our tribe is tight and we have each other\u2019s back, that\u2019s the most beautiful thing. Shout-out to my kids\u2019 mothers, they\u2019re phenomenal. They make my life easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thompson has repeatedly made headlines<\/a> for his personal life. He started dating Kardashian, 41, in 2016 after his split from Jordan Craig<\/strong> as the former couple awaited the arrival of their son, Prince, now 9.<\/p>\n

He became a father again when Kardashian<\/a> gave birth to daughter True, now 7. Days before True\u2019s arrival in 2018, Thompson cheated on his then-pregnant girlfriend with multiple women. Kardashian and Thompson initially stayed together but split when he kissed her sister Kylie Jenner<\/strong>\u2019s BFF Jordyn Woods<\/strong> in 2019.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in August 2020 that Kardashian and Thompson were giving<\/a> their romance another chance. Less than one year later, they called it quits again. The pair briefly reconciled in late 2021 before ending it for good when Thompson welcomed a baby with another woman named Maralee Nichols<\/strong>. Us<\/em> later confirmed Thompson and Kardashian\u2019s surrogate was pregnant with their second baby, son Tatum (now 3), at the same time of Thompson\u2019s affair with Nichols.<\/p>\n
