Zendaya<\/a> has fielded countless questions amid her ongoing promotional tour for her newest movie, \u201cThe Drama,\u201d not least of all about rumors she secretly married her fianc\u00e9 Tom Holland<\/a>, and while she didn\u2019t confirm this during her latest interview, Zendaya did reveal how she fell for him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The \u201cEuphoria\u201d star vividly detailed the moment during an episode published Wednesday on The New York Times podcast<\/a> \u201cModern Love.\u201d Her \u201cDrama\u201d co-star Robert Pattinson had just finished arguing there\u2019s often fear involved during breakups or an initial attraction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI think sometimes, at least in my personal experience, I found that, you know sometimes people can get kind of nervous around people? But there\u2019s a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew that this is my person, because I didn\u2019t,\u201d said Zendaya. \u201cI don\u2019t feel nervous around them, I feel really peaceful and I feel really calm, and I feel like, \u2018Oh, I actually feel more nervous when I\u2019m away from you than when I\u2019m with you,\u2019 and that\u2019s when I was like, \u2018Ah, that\u2019s a good sign, that\u2019s me listening to my intuition or body.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Zendaya and Holland were dating off and on for nearly a decade before getting engaged in late 2024<\/a>. They first met during a chemistry read for \u201cSpider-Man: Homecoming\u201d in 2017, which aptly went on to star Zendaya as the romantic interest of Holland\u2019s titular Marvel<\/a> hero.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She said during the podcast that Holland made her \u201cfeel calm\u201d during the audition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When asked how, Zendaya said, \u201cJust by being a nice person, you know? By making me feel comfortable. I mean it\u2019s like, having to do a chemistry read for a big movie like that is\u2014 you really want the job and all these kinds of things. And yeah, he was really lovely then.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Whether she and Holland have already tied the knot, as her longtime stylist and friend Law Roach claimed earlier this month<\/a>, remains unconfirmed. Zendaya did note on the podcast, however, she does try to share her life with fans \u2014 but also keeps some things to herself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cI just feel like for me, there is this level of a parasocial investment in my personal relationship,\u201d she said. \u201cI do know that I\u2019m a public person, and so is he, and I\u2019m also aware that we\u2019ve grown up in front of people, and we\u2019ve done movies where we fall in love with each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo I really do understand that, and I don\u2019t want to dismiss that like, \u2018Stay out of my business\u2019 or whatever,\u201d Zendaya continued. \u201cBut in a lot of ways I also am a very private person \u2014 and I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
