\u201cThe X-Files\u201d star Gillian Anderson has read the pilot of Ryan Coogler\u2019s upcoming reboot of the hit series and said it is \u201cspecial\u201d and \u201cdifferent,\u201d Entertainment Weekly<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve had a few conversations,\u201d Anderson said<\/a> about Coogler at Awesome Con. \u201cHe\u2019s such a cool guy, and so talented. And the pilot script is really good. I would say, have an open mind and give it a chance, because it\u2019s gonna be f**king cool. It really is.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Hulu greenlit a pilot for the sci-fi series reboot in February. In recent weeks, Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel were announced as stars in it. Deadwyler has been featured in the films \u201cTill,\u201d \u201cThe Piano Lesson\u201d and \u201cThe Harder They Fall.\u201d She also had a widely acclaimed guest appearance in Season 4 of \u201cThe Bear.\u201d Patel is known for \u201cYesterday,\u201d \u201cStation Eleven\u201d and \u201cEastEnders.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe\u2019re gonna try to make something really great, and really be something for the real \u2018X-Files\u2019 fans, and maybe find some new ones,\u201d Coogler said of the reboot last year.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe X-Files\u201d premiered in 1993 on Fox, with Anderson starring as Dana Scully opposite David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, two FBI<\/a> agents who investigated unsolved cases that seemed to be related to paranormal activity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Catch up on the original \u201cThe X-Files\u201d in the meantime on Hulu and Disney+.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
