Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a><\/strong> is opening up about one of the most painful chapters<\/a> of her life, along with the heartbreaking timing that made it even harder to bear.<\/p>\n The actress, 67, appeared on Michelle Obama<\/a><\/strong> and Craig Robinson’s <\/strong>podcast IMO<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday<\/a>, April 1, where she emotionally reflected on the murders of her close friends Rob<\/strong> and Michele Reiner. <\/strong>What made the moment even more devastating for Curtis was the date\u2014the couple were killed on December 14, 2025, the same day as Curtis’s daughter Annie Guest’s <\/strong>birthday<\/a>. “Rob and Michelle are her godparents,” Curtis told listeners, her voice breaking in the process.<\/p>\n Curtis revealed that Annie, 39, gave birth to her first child the very next week, a collision of joy and sorrow that the Oscar winner described as “life on life’s harshest terms and life on life’s most beautiful, perfect terms.” Curtis said, “My beautiful daughter who loved [the Reiners]\u2014as we all did\u2014managed to be able to metabolize her grief<\/a> and sadness, as we all have had to do.”<\/p>\n Curtis was among the first to publicly mourn the couple following their deaths. Their deaths were ruled a homicide, and the following day, their middle child Nick Reiner<\/strong><\/a>, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.<\/p>\n Nick, who had struggled with drug addiction and was diagnosed with schizophrenia prior to the killings, faces life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted.
