Jon Hamm<\/strong><\/a> just admitted that he\u2019d burglarize his own friends \u2014 but only to watch them squirm.<\/p>\n

In an interview with SFGate<\/a> published March 31, the actor joked that he would consider swiping certain friends\u2019 shiny awards just to hide them and cause a brief moment of chaos.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a fitting confession from the star of Your Friends & Neighbors<\/em><\/a>, Apple TV\u2019s hit series where his character does exactly that \u2014 robs his inner circle to survive.<\/p>\n

In the show, Hamm plays Andrew \u201cCoop\u201d Cooper, a financial titan whose life crumbles fast. After sleeping with a colleague, Coop finds himself divorced and unemployed.<\/p>\n

Blackballed from the finance sector entirely, he resorts to burglarizing the homes of people in his own social circle and pawning stolen items just to stay afloat.<\/p>\n

Would Jon Hamm Steal a Friends\u2019 Oscar? Probably.<\/h2>\n

The SFGate interview put the question to him directly: would Hamm steal from his friends in real life, the way Coop does on screen?<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got quite a few friends that have certain shaped awards that I would probably steal but not so I could have them,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/p>\n

When asked to name names, Hamm said he would \u201cnever\u201d reveal his targets.<\/p>\n

Hamm himself has never been nominated for an Oscar. He does own one Emmy<\/a> (from 18 nominations), two Golden Globes (from seven nominations) and two SAG Awards (from 14 nominations), according to IMDB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jon Hamm Says He Has Had Friends Steal From Him in the Past<\/h2>\n

Hamm hasn\u2019t stolen from a friend, but he\u2019s been on the other side. He recalled a childhood incident where a friend took one of his comic books in fifth or sixth grade.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was furious to the point where I made my dad call this guy\u2019s dad and say, \u2018Yo, give my kid his comic books back,\u2019\u201d he told SFGate.<\/p>\n

The comic wasn\u2019t especially rare. He remembered it as the S issue from his collection of The History of the Marvel Universe<\/em> comics. But that didn\u2019t soften the blow.<\/p>\n

He got the comic back eventually \u2014 and it\u2019s still sitting in his closet to this day. As for the kid who took it: \u201cHonestly, I couldn\u2019t even tell you his name.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jon Hamm Considers Himself Pretty Generous When It Comes to His Possessions<\/h2>\n

The interviewer also asked how casual Hamm is with his own belongings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m probably casual with stuff like that because I live a very ridiculous life. I\u2019m gifted things that are worth a lot of money that, in a vacuum, I don\u2019t particularly care about,\u201d he told SFGate.<\/p>\n

He said he wouldn\u2019t describe himself as a hoarder and doesn\u2019t acquire things just to have them. He gives things away regularly instead.<\/p>\n
