Bob\u2019s Burgers<\/em><\/a> star Eugene Mirman<\/strong> was pulled from burning wreckage and hospitalized after being involved in a serious car accident in Bedford, New Hampshire.<\/p>\n

\u201cEugene was in a very scary car accident,\u201d his spokesperson told People<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, April 1. \u201cHe wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Mirman\u2019s rep for additional details.<\/p>\n

The New Hampshire Department of Safety confirmed that Mirman, 51, was involved in a one-car crash in Bedford on Tuesday, March 31, when his 2026 Lucid Gravity SUV struck a toll tower and burst into flames.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile units were responding, a veteran State Trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte<\/strong>\u2019s security detail came upon the crash, saw that the vehicle was actively on fire, and observed the driver was still inside,\u201d a press release<\/a> read. \u201cThe driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety. Governor Kelly Ayotte, along with other witnesses at the scene, provided assistance to the Trooper.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trooper\u2019s identity is being kept private \u201cdue to the nature of their position,\u201d according to the New Hampshire Department of Safety.<\/p>\n

Police confirmed that no charges have been filed at this time but that all aspects of the crash are under investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly, [rescue workers\u2019] actions were heroic in what they did,\u201d Colonel Mark B. Hall<\/strong> said in a press release. \u201cWithout hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colonel Hall later told local station WCVB<\/a> that Governor Ayotte got out of her vehicle and attempted to assist in Mirman\u2019s rescue.<\/p>\n

\u201c[She] tried to assist in any way she could at the scene,\u201d Colonel Hall said. \u201cShe wasn\u2019t in harm\u2019s way at any point, but she has a great deal of care for our citizens and tried to do what she could at the scene to provide assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Governor Ayotte, 57, sent well-wishes for Mirman and shared local news coverage of the fiery crash via her X account<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank the Trooper on my security detail and the bystanders who stepped up to help at the scene of the crash for their brave lifesaving efforts today,\u201d she tweeted. \u201c[My husband, Joseph Daley<\/strong>,] and I are praying for the full recovery of the driver who was injured today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mirman has voiced Gene Belcher on more than 300 episodes of Fox\u2019s animated comedy series Bob\u2019s Burgers<\/em> since 2011 and also lent his voice to 2022\u2019s The Bob\u2019s Burgers Movie<\/em>. He has appeared in Jon Hamm<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 2022 comedy Confess, Fletch<\/em> and starred on TV comedies Delocated<\/em>, Flight of the Conchords<\/em> and Broad City<\/em>.<\/p>\n
