It\u2019s an insurance company,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut it\u2019s big, and it\u2019s like, \u2018We want you to be a rapper. We want you to rap in a commercial.\u201d <\/p>\n
However, the request didn\u2019t sit too well with Master P. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019mm ot rapping in a commercial,’\u201d he declared. \u201cLike, Kevin Hart is not doing stand-up comedy for Chase on the commercial, so I\u2019m like, \u2018Sometimes, you gotta turn down\u2026all money ain\u2019t good money.’\u201d<\/p>\n
The music icon further pointed out that while he can still rap. However, he doesn\u2019t want people to stereotype him. He also wanted to inspire younger entertainers by showing they do not always have to take publicity deals. <\/p>\n
Master P Was Heavily Involved in the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show <\/h2>\n
This isn\u2019t the first time Master P has been asked to participate in the Super Bowl. The rapper was heavily involved in the Super Bowl LIX halftime show in 2025. <\/p>\n
Former New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell notably appointed Master P to be the city\u2019s entertainment ambassador for Super Bowl LIX. <\/p>\n
At the time, Cantrell said that Master P, a New Orleans native, was selected for the role due to his ability to connect the city to more special events and opportunities. <\/p>\n
As an ambassador, Master P launched the \u201cHollywood South Collaborative,\u201d described as \u201cmaster-class environments\u201d designed to mentor and teach entertainment business skills. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are doing this through film, television, and entertainment,\u201d he said. \u201cBut we are also doing this through business because I want people to see what I was able to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n
Master P then noted, \u201cI grew up in the projects in New Orleans and was able to change my life and educate myself. Get out there to see more. And I want more for the city of New Orleans.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s deserving of all the love, all the praise,\u201d Cantrell said about Master P. \u201cFor demonstrating the resiliency of this community and that there\u2019s no limit to accomplishing great things for the city of New Orleans.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
