Cardi B <\/b><\/a>has learned to take her business ventures into her own hands.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve been burned,\u201d Cardi, 33, said on the Tuesday, March 31, episode of Emma Grede<\/b>\u2019s \u201cAspire\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cEven when I haven\u2019t been burned, you never know when you\u2019re getting burned. If you\u2019re not seeing the numbers every single day, you\u2019re going to get burned.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Cardi, there was a period where she didn\u2019t receive daily accounting updates about her business holdings or income.<\/p>\n \u201cI need to see the numbers everyday. You got to see those numbers,\u201d the rapper stressed. \u201cIt has to be hands-on. I feel like I made so many people rich, and then they tell other people that they did so good, but when we get on the these type of number calls, they be like, \u2018Well, we didn\u2019t meet this, this and that.\u2019 And it\u2019s like, \u2018Yeah, no, you\u2019re lying.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n To avoid false reports, Cardi has also since requested to receive all insights about her social media posts.<\/p>\n \u201cI asked all my social media platforms, \u2018Hey, give me the insights,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s, like, yeah don\u2019t play.\u201d<\/p>\n Cardi launched her first business<\/a>, a haircare line called Grow Good, in January, two years after first conceptualizing the concept.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m tired of waiting on managers, I\u2019m tired of waiting on this,\u201d she recalled. \u201cIt\u2019s, like, there\u2019s nobody else that is going to be as passionate for what I want like [me and my friend Patience]. It\u2019s, like, \u2018We got to put pep in our step. You go find these people that going to help us do our brands and we\u2019re going to ride this s*** to the end, and that\u2019s exactly what she did.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Cardi, Grow Good no longer feels like a corporate \u201cpartnership\u201d but more of a friendship.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s so many people that want to invest and want to get in deals with us but it\u2019s, like, \u2018Yeah but are you passionate? Are you understanding how I want these things done?\u2019\u201d Cardi said. \u201cThey are [and] have fulfilled everything that I want<\/a>. It\u2019s time to put everything we work for in the engine.\u201d<\/p>\n Given the times that Cardi has allegedly been \u201cburned\u201d by past business associates, she knows exactly who to work with moving forward.<\/p>\n
