The Today<\/a> hosts burst into several laughs during the show\u2019s \u201cPop Start\u201d segment<\/a> on Thursday, April 2, thanks, in part, to Craig Melvin<\/a>.<\/p>\n Carson Daly<\/a> began the daily segment by discussing pop culture stories such as The Super Mario Galaxy Movie<\/a>\u2018s opening day box office numbers, Zendaya<\/a> reciting the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit<\/a> intro from memory during a recent interview<\/a>, and Dylan Dreyer<\/a>\u2018s new podcast<\/a>, The Parent Chat.<\/p>\n One topic, however, got a big reaction from the hosts. \u201cDo you want to build a viral sensation? Well, videos of the robot Olaf walking around \u2014 this is at Disneyland Paris,\u201d Daly stated. \u201cHe\u2019s been popping up all over the internet. But during a recent fan meet-and-greet, that poor snowman was spotted, well, freezing up a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n The show went on to play the viral TikTok clip<\/a>, which shows the adorable Frozen<\/a>-inspired robot tipping over during a recent outing at Disneyland Paris, with his carrot nose falling off his face. Disney workers quickly rushed out, placed Olaf\u2019s nose back on, and carried the robot to a backstage area.<\/p>\n The video sparked several hilarious reactions from users, including one who wrote, \u201cWhen my social battery dies in public settings.\u201d Another added, \u201cAfter seeing my bank account when I get back.\u201d<\/p>\n In Today\u2018s Studio 1A, Daly exclaimed, \u201cOlaf down!\u201d Jenna Bush Hager<\/a>, for her part, was upset that the robot\u2019s carrot nose fell off. Daly went on to add, \u201cWith spring around the corner, this just isn\u2019t the best season for a particular Frozen friend.\u201d<\/p>\n Melvin, for his part, used the funny video to take a playful jab at The Walt Disney Company, which is a rival of NBC\u2019s parent company, NBCUniversal. \u201cThat never happens at Universal, by the way,\u201d he joked, referring to the Universal Studios theme parks. \u201cNever happens at Universal.\u201d<\/p>\n While his comment made his colleagues chuckle, Bush Hager pointed out, \u201c\u2018Cause Olaf doesn\u2019t go to Universal.\u201d He replied, \u201cThat\u2019s also true, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n As morning TV viewers know, hosts frequently promote projects that fall under their respective parent companies. For example, NBC\u2019s Today promotes movies released by Universal and Peacock original series, while ABC\u2019s Good Morning America<\/a> promotes Disney and Hulu entertainment and sports coverage on ESPN.<\/p>\n Back in May 2025, the Today hosts traveled to Orlando, Florida, to celebrate the opening of Universal\u2019s latest theme park, Epic Universe.
