Some have come out of nowhere, others have taken months to catch on, and all of them could become ubiquitous in the blink of a TikTok clip.\u00a0 Last month\u2019s 20th<\/sup>\u00a0Hannahversary\u00a0celebration (March 24) found Miley Cyrus<\/a> returning home to the iconic Disney set on which she changed pop culture forever. Alongside guest appearances by Selena Gomez and mom Tish Cyrus-Purcell, the hour-long special also featured a revelatory interview with\u00a0Call Her Daddy\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0Alex Cooper and a heart-melting read-through with dad Billy Ray Cyrus. Naturally, such a heartfelt dedication to a show that defined the lives of most late millennials and early Zoomers resulted in particularly large streaming gains.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n In the seven-day period before the special hit Hulu and Disney+ (March 17-23), Hannah Montana\u2019s catalog earned 4.63 million official on-demand U.S. streams. That figure exploded by 306% to over 18.8 million streams in the seven-day period following the\u00a0special\u2019s\u00a0premiere (March 24-30), according to\u00a0Luminate. Notably, three Hannah Montana albums appear on the April 4-dated\u00a0Top Soundtracks<\/a>\u00a0chart: 2006\u2019s\u00a0Hannah Montana<\/em>\u00a0(No. 16), 2007\u2019s\u00a0Hannah Montana 2<\/em>\u00a0(No. 20) and 2009\u2019s\u00a0Hannah Montana: The Movie<\/em>\u00a0(No. 22).<\/p>\n To coincide with the special and deliver a personal gift to fans, Cyrus shared a tender adult contemporary tune titled \u201cYounger You.\u201d The reflective song debuted with 1.12 million official on-demand streams on its first day of release (March 27), finishing with a four-day total of 2.63 million streams by March 30. \u2014\u00a0KYLE DENIS<\/em><\/p>\n Only magic happens when you put\u00a0two big voices in the same room \u2014 especially when\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0attached to even bigger personalities.\u00a0Last week (March 26), the two R&B crooners faced off for the latest edition of Verzuz on Apple Music, and the entertaining hour-and-a-half stream inspired fans to revisit both artists\u2019 catalogs on streaming.<\/p>\n The weekend following the Verzuz battle (March 27-29), Tank<\/a>\u2019s catalog jumped 58% to over 2.88 million official on-demand U.S. streams, according to\u00a0Luminate, up from 1.81 million official streams during the weekend prior (March 20-22). \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Go,\u201d which peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> in 2007, leapt 90%\u00a0to over 219,000 official streams\u00a0during the weekend\u00a0following the battle\u00a0(March 27-29), while 2017\u2019s steamy \u201cWhen We\u201d posted a 37% increase to 444,000 official streams\u00a0during the same\u00a0period.<\/p>\n Streaming activity for Tyrese<\/a>\u2019s catalog rose by\u00a0nearly 50%, clearing 2.4 million official on-demand U.S. streams. The singer-actor\u00a0also performed his signature\u00a0Hot 100\u00a0smash\u00a0\u201cSweet Lady\u201d\u00a0(No. 12),\u00a0which leapt 25% to over\u00a0571,000 official streams following the livestream (March 27-29).\u00a0 London group The Long Faces released\u00a0a number of\u00a0singles in the late 2010s and early\u00a02020s, and\u00a0developed enough of a following to at least have\u00a0its own subreddit<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 but since the release of 2023 single \u201cEisenhower,\u201d has not dropped any music or even updated their social media accounts.\u00a0But now, they have one of the most popular rock songs in the U.S., thanks to fan edits\u00a0featuring the song blowing up across platforms.<\/p>\n The\u00a0band\u2019s\u00a02018\u00a0spiky\u00a0alt-rock blast\u00a0\u201cJane!\u201d has been growing on streaming all year, since\u00a0an edit<\/a>\u00a0of the episodic adventure video game\u00a0Dispatch<\/em>\u00a0featuring the song started going viral on TikTok.\u00a0Now, the song is also\u00a0being adopted by fans of the\u00a0Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em>\u00a0anime\u00a0series, with video edits featuring branding character Ryu\u00a0Ishigori\u00a0as\u00a0\u201cJane Juliet,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0thanks to their use of both the Long Faces song and\u00a0L.A. band\u00a0Clarion\u2019s \u201cHello\u00a0Juliet.\u201d<\/p>\n Thanks to these edit boosts,\u00a0\u201cJane\u201d has been growing on streaming every week since the beginning of the year, rising from 590,000 official on-demand U.S. streams for the tracing week ending Jan. 8 to over 2.9 million for the week ending Mar.\u00a026, according to\u00a0Luminate. And the numbers are still going up: In the first four days of this current tracking week (Mar. 27-30),\u00a0the song has amassed\u00a0nearly 2.3\u00a0million plays, a 47% gain from the equivalent period the previous week.<\/p>\n No word yet on if the song\u2019s newfound virality will re-activate The Long Faces \u2014\u00a0but in the meantime,\u00a0the much\u00a0more\u00a0active Clarion, who\u00a0is\u00a0touring the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0this spring,\u00a0has also started to see gains from the related exposure,\u00a0up 205% from 396,000 plays the week ending Jan. 8 to over 1.2 million for the week ending Mar. 26.\u00a0\u2013\u00a0ANDREW UNTERBERGER<\/em><\/p>\n In 2024, Bossman\u00a0Dlow<\/a>\u00a0exploded onto the scene with\u00a0several\u00a0Hot 100 hits \u2014 \u201cGet In With Me\u201d (No. 49),\u201d \u201cMr. Pot Scraper\u201d (No. 93) and \u201cPJ\u201d(with Lil Baby,\u00a0No. 86)\u00a0\u2014 and a smattering of smaller street hits that minted him as one of Florida\u2019s most exciting new rap voices.<\/p>\n Now,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0back on the Hot 100 with \u201cMotion Party,\u201d a track\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0quickly taking over social media, already becoming his highest-peaking hit on the chart upon its debut (No. 45).\u00a0Although the song officially hit streaming on\u00a0March 13,\u00a0its\u00a0social media life began months prior. On Feb. 26, TikTok user\u00a0@\/mrflawdaaa\u00a0posted a clip<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0a new dance\u00a0challenge set to a snippet of \u201cMotion Party,\u201d which, at the time, only existed as\u00a0an\u00a0unofficial TikTok audio originally<\/a>\u00a0posted by\u00a0Tymeout<\/a>,\u00a0Dlow\u2019s\u00a0manager, on Jan. 28.\u00a0@\/Mrflawdaaa is a popular TikTok creator\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0boosted hip-hop songs with viral dances<\/a>, including\u00a0Dlow\u2019s\u00a0own\u00a0\u201cShake Dat A\u2013 (Twerk Song)\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a02024. Thanks to his reach (and barrage of clips promoting the challenge), the dance caught on, helping the sound reach tens of thousands of posts before the song\u2019s official release.<\/p>\n Dlow\u00a0tapped\u00a0@\/mrflawdaaa for a cameo in the song\u2019s\u00a0official music video<\/a>, teasing the clip with behind-the-scenes TikToks as early as Feb. 18, eventually\u00a0premiering the full video on YouTube on March 12. In its first week of release\u00a0(March 13-19), \u201cMotion Party\u201d logged 7.79 million official on-demand streams, with that figure jumping 8.6% the following week (March 20-26) to 8.46 million streams.\u00a0At press time, its\u00a0official TikTok sound<\/a>\u00a0plays in over 218,000 clips, while\u00a0Tymeout\u2019s\u00a0unofficial sound plays in an\u00a0additional\u00a0108,000.\u00a0Over on Instagram, the official \u201cMotion Party\u201d sound can be\u00a0heard in\u00a0over 31,000\u00a0Reels<\/a>.\u00a0The official music video has garnered\u00a0nearly 4\u00a0million views on YouTube since its premiere.<\/p>\n With his new smash already becoming his first top 10 hit on Hot R&B\/Hip-Hop Songs (No. 10), Bossman\u00a0Dlow\u00a0looks well positioned to rule the spring \u2014 and\u00a0maybe even\u00a0the summer \u2014 with \u201cMotion Party.\u201d \u2014\u00a0K.D.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/a> Billboard VIP Pass<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Best of Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Billboard’s Newsletter<\/a>.
