Netflix and BBC are continuing the world of Peaky Blinders<\/em><\/strong><\/a> with a new series\u2014and a new Duke Shelby. Jamie Bell\u2019s taking over the role Barry Keoghan played in the Peaky Blinders<\/em> film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things<\/em><\/a>) will also star in the new series set 10 years after the film. The cast also includes Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey<\/em>), Lashana Lynch (The Day of the Jackal<\/em><\/a>), and Lucy Karczewski (Stereophonic<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled that we are announcing a new era of Peaky Blinders<\/em>, moving the story to post-war Birmingham in the early 50s,\u201d stated creator and writer Steven Knight. \u201cWe are incredibly fortunate to have Jamie Bell taking the role of Tommy Shelby\u2019s oldest son, Duke, and to have the incredible Charlie Heaton also leading the cast. There are more exciting cast announcements to come, and Peaky is on the road again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The series has already been greenlit for two six-episode seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new series is produced by Banijay UK\u2019s Kudos (SAS Rogue Heroes<\/em>, House of Guinness<\/em>) and Garrison Drama (Peaky Blinders<\/em> seasons 1-6, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man<\/em>) for Netflix and the BBC. Filming will take place in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
