Jamie Lee Curtis became a grandmother in December, at a moment when grief and new life collided in her family.<\/p>\n
Curtis, 67, shared the news during an appearance on \u201cIMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,<\/a>\u201d describing a season when loss and birth unfolded almost side by side.<\/p>\n Her daughter Annie Guest, 39, welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Jason Wolf, in December 2025, just one week after the deaths of Annie\u2019s godparents, filmmaker Rob and Michele Singer Reiner.<\/p>\n The Reiners were found dead in their Hollywood home. The medical examiner\u2019s report<\/a> revealed that the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries.<\/p>\n Curtis noted that the Reiners died on Annie\u2019s birthday, giving the arrival of her grandson a weight that felt both devastating and restorative.<\/p>\n \u201cLife on life\u2019s harshest terms and life on life\u2019s most beautiful terms,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Before revealing the birth publicly, Curtis paused to ask permission, calling Annie to say the topic might come up during her conversation with Obama. The moment, she recalled, turned unexpectedly emotional. \u201cAnne teared up and said, \u201cTell her I love her.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou are so loved and so respected that she would say, \u2018Yes, Mom, you can talk about it to Michelle Obama, \u2018cause she\u2019s a G,\u2019\u201d Curtis told the former First Lady. \u201cShe loves you, because you represented love in the world and you brought love to the White House and beyond. And so it\u2019s really thrilling to me that for the first time I\u2019m going to say to the universe that I became a granny is here with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
