Lee Cohen, a US-based columnist\/royal and foreign policy commentator, branded Netflix a \u201cglutton for punishment\u201d and claimed the streamer has learned \u201cremarkably little\u201d from Harry and Meghan\u2019s \u201cunderwhelming output\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He told the Daily Expresss: \u201c\u200bBy now the Sussex Hollywood<\/a> formula is painfully familiar: maximal hype, minimal results.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEven by industry standards, the criticism has been notably blunt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cSpotify\u2019s Bill Simmons famously branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a> \u2018f*****g grifters\u2019 after their deal ended, while UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer publicly stated that Meghan Markle was \u2018not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Cohen added: \u201cIn my view, Netflix keeps rolling the dice on a couple whose global profile seems to rest almost entirely on Prince Harry\u2019s birthright rather than on any consistent record of professional success.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The new drama will be co-produced by Archewell Productions and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage\u2019s Fake Empire, as per Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It will be written by Teacup\u2019s Francisca X. Hu, who will also serve as an exec-producer alongside the Sussex couple and and head of scripted content Tracy Ryerson, and Fake Empire\u2019s Schwartz and Savage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
