\u201cLate Show<\/a>\u201d host Stephen Colbert<\/a> on Thursday offered some parting words to Attorney General Pam Bondi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But there\u2019s no way to know what most of them are. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Bondi, who was fired<\/a> by President Donald Trump<\/a> on Thursday, released heavily redacted versions of the files related to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, who was once close friends with Trump. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Colbert followed suit in his own message. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIn tribute to Pam Bondi, I offer this heartfelt farewell,\u201d he said, holding up a letter that was entirely redacted except for five words: \u201cDear Pam,\u201d and \u201cSincerely, Stephen Colbert.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n One of the reasons Trump reportedly fired Bondi is that he was unhappy with how she handled the release of files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, who was once his friend. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Colbert found that hard to believe. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSaying that the villain of the Epstein files is Pam Bondi is like saying the lead in \u2018Die Hard\u2019 is the dad from \u2018Family Matters,\u2019\u201d Colbert said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n He also read some of Trump\u2019s announcement, in which the president said Bondi would be \u201ctransitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Colbert broke out his Trump impression. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a much-needed job at a very important farm upstate. There\u2019ll be lots of room for her to run around.
