Will Henry Winkler<\/a> be one of the stars to lace up his dancing shoes and compete in Season 35<\/a> of Dancing With the Stars<\/a><\/em>? The actor recently reposted a throwback video<\/a> of himself showing off his dance moves as Fonzie on Happy Days<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>and William Shatner<\/a> suggested that he break out those moves on the dance competition show.<\/p>\n

\u201cHenry! speaking of Superman; I saw your repost of the Fonzie dance. I\u2019m sure you can still do that,\u201d Shatner wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cYou want me to see if they have an opening on Dancing With The Stars<\/em> next season?\u201d<\/p>\n

Winkler, who is now 80 years old, caught wind of the message and replied<\/a>, \u201cLove to you but NO dancing thank you.\u201d He was in his 20s and 30s when he starred on\u00a0Happy Days<\/em> from 1974 to 1984, so it\u2019s been quite some time since that scene he reposted he was filmed.<\/p>\n

Even though Winkler shut down the possibility that he\u2019ll appear on the show, fans are all for the idea. Tons of followers replied to the tweet and let Winkler know that they would love to see him on\u00a0DWTS<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Shatner. Your suggestion seems to be an excellent one. I think an appearance by Mr. Winkler on a famous would be enjoyed by SO MANY,\u201d one person wrote<\/a>. Another said<\/a>, \u201cYou still have one dance left in you!\u201d and someone else wrote, \u201cI haven\u2019t watched DWTS<\/em> in a long time, but if you were a contestant, I\u2019d definitely watch!! You can do it, I\u2019m sure!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans were also loving the interaction between Winkler and Shatner on social media. \u201cBanter between the greats @hwinkler4real and @WilliamShatner \u2026 this is the best app ever,\u201d one person tweeted<\/a>, while another wrote<\/a>, \u201cLove to both of you. This is joy,\u201d and someone else said<\/a>, \u201cYou guys are bringing joy to so many with this exchange It\u2019s lovely to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the record, the oldest\u00a0DWTS<\/em> contestant so far was Cloris Leachman<\/a>. She competed in Season 7 at age 82 and finished in seventh place.<\/p>\n
