Oklahoma country music star Zach Bryan<\/a> has been forced to cancel one of his Tulsa stadium shows<\/a> scheduled for this weekend due to “the threat of severe and dangerous weather.”<\/a><\/p>\n “To my fellow Oklahomans: I am being forced by my team to cancel the show tonight. … I have never canceled a show in my life but I unfortunately don’t have a choice in the matter,” Bryan wrote in an Instagram<\/a> flier posted the afternoon of Friday, April 3.<\/p>\n “We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”<\/p>\n The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, who hails from the Tulsa suburb of Oologah<\/a>, was scheduled to play Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, at University of Tulsa’s H.A. Chapman Stadium.<\/p>\n Although Friday’s date on Bryan’s 2026 “With Heaven on Tour<\/a>” is canceled, he noted in his Instagram post Friday afternoon that Saturday’s concert is still set to proceed as planned.<\/p>\n In a caption on the post, Bryan added that it was his first time canceling a headlining show in his five years of touring.<\/p>\n “I pissed off plenty of people this morning trying to ‘play anyways,'” Bryan added in his Instagram caption. “If I had ANY say in this, things we be different. I apologize and I love all of ya.”<\/p>\n The “Something in the Orange” hitmaker also posted to Instagram<\/a> a message, presumably from one of his team members, insisting on the cancelation after a meeting with police, University of Tulsa officials and meteorologists. The message notes that “the consensus is that we would be putting people’s safety at risk by trying to put on the show.”<\/p>\n The message indicates that the primary concerns for carrying on with the outdoor concert were the possible timing and severity of the predicted Friday evening storms, which could potentially bring wind gusts of up to 60 mph, heavy rains, intense lightning and hail.<\/p>\n Ticketholders for Friday’s Tulsa stadium show should have refunds issued automatically to the original method of payment used at the time of purchase. It may take up to 15 business days for the refunds to appear on buyers’ statements, according to the cancelation announcement.<\/p>\n For more information, ticketholders are advised to email tuticketoffice@utulsa.edu.<\/p>\n The University of Tulsa confirmed the cancelation of Friday’s show on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n “The safety of our patrons, staff and the artists were the top priority while making this decision,” according to the university’s announcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n The TU announcement notes that Saturday night’s show is scheduled to proceed as planned, with tickets still available to purchase at https:\/\/tulsahurricane.evenue.net\/event\/C26\/ZB0404<\/a>. But tickets for Friday’s show are not able to be transferred to Saturday.<\/p>\n A global superstar, Bryan recently launched his “With Heaven on Tour”<\/a> in support of his sixth studio album, “With Heaven on Top,”<\/a> released in January via Warner Records.<\/p>\n As usual, all 25 songs on the new album were written, recorded and produced by the prolific songsmith, who worked on “With Heaven on Top” over the winter months of 2025 in Tulsa.<\/p>\n
