Geoffrey Owens<\/a>, who starred on \u201cThe Cosby Show\u201d as Cliff Huxtable\u2019s son-in-law Elvin Tibideaux, clocked in for his shift on \u201cThe Pitt<\/a>\u201d in Thursday night\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The actor portrays Dr. Clay Barnett, a cardiothoracic surgeon, in Episode 13. He consults a CT scan for Duke Ekins (Jeff Kober), a friend, fellow motorcycle enthusiast and patient of Dr. Michael \u201cRobby\u201d Robinavitch\u2019s (Noah Wyle) who has been waiting all day to see the results of the scan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n It\u2019s a quick scene for Barnett, who tells Dr. Robby that he can\u2019t get Duke on the OR schedule for another week. The moment sends Robby \u2014 who\u2019s been a ticking time bomb all season \u2014 into a rage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Owens has made numerous TV appearances \u2014 including on \u201cPower,\u201d \u201cThe Haves and Have Nots,\u201d \u201cThe Good Fight\u201d and \u201cAll Rise\u201d \u2014 since he went viral in 2018 for working at Trader Joe\u2019s. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI quit Trader Joe\u2019s actually before the news hit,\u201d Owens said in an interview on the \u201cBig Tigger Morning Show\u201d in 2024. \u201cIt was strange because someone had been in the store taking pictures. \u2026 And I was like, well, now that this is breaking, I\u2019m not going to feel comfortable working in this store, wondering who\u2019s around with a camera. It\u2019s gonna be just too weird. I\u2019m a very private person.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He also said Trader Joe\u2019s was a \u201cwonderful place to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n If you\u2019re a fan of \u201cThe Cosby Show,\u201d you\u2019ll remember that Owens\u2019 character quit medical school for a moment and worked at a wilderness supply store.
