Prince Harry<\/a> was warned over a huge \u201crisk\u201d as he navigates his new life in America<\/a>, six years after he quit the Royal Family. The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family in early 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They now reside in Montecito, California<\/a>, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Sussexes have struck several deals and branched out into various endeavours since then.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harry has carried on supporting his charities while also promoting his Invictus Games from across the pond, alongside other projects in Hollywood<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, a PR expert has claimed Harry\u2019s \u201clegacy is largely already secured\u201d but warned him about one \u201crisk\u201d he needs to be cautious about.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Crisis and reputation consultant Mark Borkowski told Hello!<\/a> magazine: \u201cInvictus is the substance. Everything else \u2013 Hollywood deals, media ventures, streaming content \u2013 all a sideshow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cWell-paid, occasionally compelling, but ultimately secondary. The risk isn’t collapse. It’s dilution.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Mr Borkowski added that the Duke is now navigating a \u201cpost-hype phase\u201d following the release of his memoir, Spare, in 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He explained: \u201cSentiment has faded and everyone still judges. [Harry is] no longer the Spare phenomenon. He has lost purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThe Invictus Games Foundation carries real, unshakeable authenticity \u2013 earned, not engineered.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But the PR expert added that Harry is living \u201chis version of the American dream\u201d which is \u201cout of sorts\u201d with what the public saw when he used to be a working member of the Firm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said: \u201c[Harry is] not really fighting the Palace anymore. He’s fighting irrelevance \u2013 and that’s a far less forgiving opponent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

During a summit in 2024, the Duke of Sussex said about his life in the US: \u201cI very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cIt’s a part of my life that I never thought I was going to live, and I feel as though it’s the life that my mom wanted for me, and to be able to do the things that I am able to do with my kids that I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK, is huge.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
