The new song follows on from their previous single,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/distortedsoundmag.com\/downstater-release-new-music-video-for-losing-grip\/\"><strong>Losing Grip<\/strong><\/a>, which was released in November last year.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the new single, the band shares, <em>\u201c<strong>Cage<\/strong> <strong>Fight<\/strong>\u00a0is a fired-up punk rock anthem that pays homage to the genre of legends we grew up with like <b>THE OFFSPRING<\/b>, <strong>RISE AGAINST<\/strong>, and <strong>IGNITE<\/strong>. We really wanted to capture the raw energy of the 90\u2019s skate punk that fuelled our youth. This song is an ode to the misfits, the rebels, and anyone who\u2019s ever felt trapped and yearning to break free. It\u2019s a sonic embodiment of everything punk rock means to us: fast, melodic, unapologetic, and angry.
