Princess Beatrice<\/a> and Princess Eugenie<\/a> are not expected to join the rest of the Royal Family<\/a> at the annual Easter Sunday gathering in Windsor today and now a source close to them has revealed their feelings behind their absence. The daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have kept a low profile since the latest wave of humiliation regarding their parents and their links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beatrice and Eugenie are mentioned themselves in the millions of documents released by the US in connection with the disgraced financier. However, being mentioned in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing and their appearance in the files does not suggest they knew of any wrongdoing. Now, in what\u2019s been described as a \u201croyal snub\u201d, the sisters will not be pictured in Windsor<\/a> today and their pal explains why.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A source told the Mirror<\/a> that Beatrice and Eugenie are \u201cjust getting on with their lives as much as they can.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They also revealed that while the princesses have attended the Easter Sunday church service in previous years, this year, they be \u201cspending Easter with Edo’s family which has been planned for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, another source close to Beatrice spoke about the sisters\u2019 predicament ahead of their Easter absence, telling Hello! magazine: \u201cThey will get criticism whether they go or not \u2013 and not just that event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThey just can’t win. Bea has found the scrutiny very hard, especially the strain of the past few weeks. It has felt as though things have been in freefall, and she’s being hammered and bullied by commentators.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They added that \u201cpeople forget about the human element of what they’ve been going through, too\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The princess\u2019s father was arrested on his birthday, February 19, on suspicion of misconduct in public office but was released 11 hours later under investigation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
