Detroit rocker Jack White was the musical guest on \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d on April 4, and he didn’t disappoint.<\/p>\n Ahead of his sixth \u201cSNL\u201d appearance, White released a pair of streaming singles<\/a>, with limited-edition vinyl editions now on sale. He performed both songs on the show Saturday night.<\/p>\n Actor Jack Black was the “SNL” host. The cold open<\/a> took aim at President Donald Trump’s firing of Attorney General Pam Bondi. Black’s monologue ended with a rousing rendition of “Seven Nation Army,” with White on electric guitar.<\/p>\n You can watch that performance below (start at the 5:20 mark if you want to skip to the song).<\/p>\n Later in the show, White performed.<\/p>\n First up was “Derecho Demonico,” one of the singles released, which Brian McCollum, Free Press music writer and critic, calls a fuzz-guitar workout<\/a> that harks back to White\u2019s earlier days.<\/p>\n \u201cG.O.D. and the Broken Ribs\u201d was up later in the broadcast.
