WILLIAMSBURG\u2014 Virtuosic American Roots Band Low Lily Returns to Williamsburg Library Theatre as part of their Dewey Decibel Concert Series.<\/p>\n
Low Lily, featuring Liz Simmons, Flynn Cohen, and Elsie Gawler, will take the stage at the\u00a0Library Theatre\u00a0in Williamsburg on April 10, a 7 p.m. show.<\/p>\n
Simmons says the show is high energy and dynamic. Adding it will feature instrumentals alongside arranged songs. Between them, the musicians play mandolin, guitars, fiddle, banjo, and sing in three-part vocal harmonies.<\/p>\n
The New England-based trio has emerged in the roots music scene. Simmons says with the energy of fiddle music, the introspection of contemporary folk, the precision of bluegrass, and the drive of Americana, Low Lily has created a sound that is both deeply authentic and refreshingly original. Adding that Low Lily\u2019s seamless vocal harmonies, instrumental mastery, and genre-crossing arrangements have earned them a devoted following and critical acclaim, garnering two #1 songs on international folk radio and winning two Independent Music Awards. Their poignant song Hope Lingers On (recorded on their 2018 release \u201c10,000 Days Like These\u201d)\u00a0has been performed by choirs around the world as an anthem for peace and justice.<\/p>\n
