It comes two years after Prince Harry<\/a>\u2019s polo documentary failed to perform well in ratings. Harry and Meghan\u2019s new series will be set in the \u201chigh-flying equestrian town\u201d of Wellington, Florida.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, a PR expert warned that the Sussex couple\u2019s new project needs to be honest about what it promotes, or it risks sparking viewer fury.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Renae Smith, founder and director of The Atticism<\/a>, told the Daily Express: \u201cThe key is honesty. Audiences are very comfortable watching wealth and privilege when it\u2019s presented as exactly that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhat they don\u2019t respond well to is being told it\u2019s relatable or accessible when it clearly isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s where I think the risk sits with this concept. The idea of \u2018widening the scope\u2019 of an elitist sport sounds good on paper (I guess) and I assume that\u2019s how they\u2019ve pitched it, but in reality, polo is definitely an elite sport – let\u2019s not joke ourselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTrying to position it as something for everyone will come across as out of touch very quickly. People don\u2019t need it to be relatable; they just need it to be interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The new drama will be co-produced by Archewell Productions, the Sussexes’ media production company, and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage\u2019s Fake Empire, according to Deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It will be written by Teacup\u2019s Francisca X. Hu, who will also serve as an exec-producer alongside the Sussex couple and and head of scripted content Tracy Ryerson, and Fake Empire\u2019s Schwartz and Savage, according to Deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ms Smith added: \u201cIf I were advising them, I would be asking a more fundamental question, which is why keep flogging this space, and why now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
