Papa Roach don\u2019t do nostalgia quietly, they drag it out, crank it up, and make sure it still hits like a punch to the ribs.<\/h2>\n

Papa Roach are landing back in Australia for the BIG ROCK TOUR <\/a><\/em><\/strong>with A Day To Remember, Jacoby Shaddix and Jerry Horton are leaning into legacy without sounding like they\u2019re stuck in it.<\/p>\n

Australia, as expected, is treating them just fine, there\u2019s a long memory here, these are the same guys who tore through stages with Red Hot Chili Peppers back in 2002 while touring \u2018Lovehatetragedy\u2019<\/em>, that history still hangs in the air, but the band aren\u2019t interested in living off it.<\/p>\n

25 years of \u2018Infest\u2019 and \u2018Last Resort\u2019<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s hard to believe it\u2019s been over 25 years of \u2018Infest\u2019 and \u2018Last Resort\u2019, that one song has turned into a shape shifting beast, with different versions and contexts, but delivering the same emotional punch, it\u2019s less about replaying the past and more about watching how far that track has travelled.<\/p>\n

Jacoby\u2019s time on \u2018The Retaliators\u2019<\/em> film pushed him into darker territory, stepping into the role of a villain. It\u2019s a natural extension of the band\u2019s long-running fascination with the messier sides of human behaviour, just through a different lens.<\/p>\n

On the other side, Jerry\u2019s relationship with straight edge culture is more observational than participatory, he respects it, understands it, but doesn\u2019t wear the label. It tracks with Papa Roach<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u2019s wider ethos, they\u2019ve always circled subcultures without fully locking into one.<\/p>\n

Consistency<\/h2>\n

From \u2018FEAR\u2019<\/em> through to \u2018Ego Trip\u2019<\/em>, the band has kept releasing without long gaps or obvious drop offs, with their single \u2018Even If It Kills Me (Wake Up)\u2019 signalling another chapter, and from the way they talk about it, the next record won\u2019t play it safe.<\/p>\n

Their music has ended up everywhere. Games, TV, sport. From Devil May Cry<\/em> to UFC<\/em>, it\u2019s become part of the background noise of modern culture, not in a throwaway way, but in a way that keeps introducing them to new listeners.<\/p>\n

More importantly, their partnership with AFSP has raised over $250,000 for mental health and suicide prevention, that\u2019s not branding, that is legit impact.<\/p>\n
