Hoda Kotb<\/strong><\/a> is showing support as Savannah Guthrie<\/strong><\/a> officially makes her return to the Today<\/em><\/a> show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith you xoxo,\u201d Kotb, 61, captioned an Instagram<\/a> post on Monday, April 6, sharing a photo of Guthrie, 54, with her kids.<\/p>\n

The message came as Savannah began her first broadcast back<\/a> on the Today<\/em> show in two months after her mother, Nancy Guthrie<\/strong>, was reported missing in Arizona in February. Savannah took time away<\/a> from her role on NBC as authorities investigated Nancy\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Kotb filled in for Savannah during her time away from the show, sitting down with her former colleague last month for an emotional conversation<\/a> about Nancy\u2019s case.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHoda Kotb reflected on how Savannah Guthrie has continued to navigate mother Nancy Guthrie\u2018s missing case. \u201cThere is a desperation and also a steeliness about Savannah,\u201d Kotb, 61, shared on the Wednesday, March 25, episode of the Today show. \u201cShe\u2019s hoping that somebody \u2014 whoever this person is \u2014 will see something and say something.\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhen I look at the Today<\/em> show, it\u2019s the answer to all of my dreams, actually better than my dreams,\u201d Savannah said. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to imagine doing it because it\u2019s such a place of joy and lightness. I can\u2019t come back and try to be something that I\u2019m not. But I can\u2019t not come back because it\u2019s my family. I think it\u2019s part of my purpose right now. I want to smile, and when I do, it will be real. And my joy will be my protest. My joy will be my answer.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cBeing there is joyful. And when it\u2019s not, I\u2019ll say so. And I have been so grateful to have this family, I consider this my family, my greater family, and when times are hard, you want to be with your family. And I want to be with my family. And so I don\u2019t know if I can do it. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll belong anymore. But I would like to try.\u201d<\/p>\n

Authorities have yet to identify a suspect amid Nancy\u2019s disappearance, but the FBI previously shared footage of a masked person<\/a> outside of her home.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in agony. \u2026 It is unbearable,\u201d Savannah said in her interview. \u201cAnd to think of what she went through. I wake up every night in the middle of the night. Every night. And in the darkness, I imagine her terror. And it is unthinkable.\u201d<\/p>\n
