The US actor and television personality shared the news during the April 6 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark<\/i>, revealing that his father \u201cpassed away peacefully\u201d on March 23 after battling a long illness.<\/p>\n

His wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, became emotional as she paid tribute, describing her father-in-law as \u201cthe greatest person I\u2019ve ever known.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She added that she would \u201cmiss him every day,\u201d noting that the loss has deeply affected the couple\u2019s three children, for whom it is their first experience of grief.<\/p>\n
