Lady Gaga<\/strong><\/a> has canceled her Montreal show as she battles a medical condition.<\/p>\n\u201cHi everyone. I\u2019m so sorry to share that I\u2019m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,\u201d the \u201cAbracadabra\u201d singer, 40, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, April 6. \u201cI\u2019ve been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) explained that her illness had \u201cgotten worse,\u201d adding that her doctor \u201cstrongly advised\u201d that she not perform amid her condition.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd to be honest I don\u2019t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve,\u201d she continued. \u201cI know how deeply disappointing this is. And I truly could not feel worse about letting you down.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Grammy winner apologized to her fans \u201cwho made plans\u201d to \u201csupport\u201d her during Monday\u2019s Montreal show. She added that her previous performances last week were \u201cmagical and deeply meaningful\u201d to her, so not being able to take the stage once more is disappointing.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo everyone who was coming tonight, I\u2019m absolutely heartbroken and so sorry,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
Gaga was scheduled to perform at the Centre Bell on Monday evening as the final Montreal show on her Mayhem Ball<\/em> tour. She previously took the stage on Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3.<\/p>\nThe pop star is at the tail end of her world tour, which kicked off in Las Vegas last year. Gaga\u2019s next stop is Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she is scheduled to play at the Grand Casino Arena on April 9 and April 10. The tour will wrap up in New York City on April 13 at Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n
