Even though Anna Duggar<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s seemingly picture perfect life in Arkansas was turned upside down after her husband Josh Duggar<\/strong><\/a> was found guilty of child pornography, she has stuck by the sex offender\u2019s side since his conviction nearly five years ago despite her family\u2019s objections, Us Weekly<\/em> has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnna has several family members who have strongly encouraged her to leave Josh<\/a>,\u201d a source tells Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cIt has been very difficult to have those conversations because Anna has always been so supportive of Josh, but the family felt that they had to let her know their thoughts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider notes that Anna\u2019s loved ones \u201cdo not want to lose their relationship with her, so they try to let her know what they think while also remaining supportive family members.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her family\u2019s disapproval<\/a> is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Anna has endured since Josh\u2019s 2021 conviction.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a nightmare for Anna that she will be dealing with for many, many years to come<\/a>,\u201d the source says of the scandal\u2019s aftermath. \u201cThe only positive thing right now is that he is out of the picture [while in jail].\u201d<\/p>\n

Anna \u2014 who shares children Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella and Madyson<\/a> with her 38-year-old husband\u2014 is trying to focus on the positives in her life while Josh serves more than 12 years in prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnna has worked very, very hard to get to where she is right now,\u201d the insider explains. \u201cShe is not living with the Duggars and has begun to set up her own life.\u201d (Anna, 37, was reportedly living on the Duggar compound in Arkansas as recently as last year.)<\/p>\n

As Anna has distanced herself from the Duggars<\/a>, she is \u201cbecoming independent and gaining strength,\u201d the source tells Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has worked very hard to be strong and to stay out of the news and rebuild her life to a degree,\u201d the insider adds.<\/p>\n

Unlike many of her in-laws, Anna does not have her own personal social media account, helping to keep her life as far away from the spotlight as possible<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anna does, however, periodically post on her dog breeding business Instagram account, Golden Grove Pups.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJoseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Duggar, spoke on many calls during his stay at the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, after his arrest on child molestation charges in March 2026. The recorded conversations \u2014 spanning several days \u2014 give insight into how the family is navigating his arrest years after his older [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Josh was arrested in April 2021<\/a> for receiving and possessing child pornography. While Josh has maintained his innocence, he was found guilty in December of that same year and sentenced in May 2022<\/a> to 151 months in prison. He\u2019s scheduled to be released on December 23, 2032.<\/p>\n
