ITV viewers were quick to air their concern for actor Adam Thomas on I’m A Celebrity\u2026South Africa.<\/a><\/p>\n

The soap star is one of the familiar faces returning <\/a>to the ITV<\/a> show as he competes against other celebrities who have appeared on the regular series over the years.<\/p>\n

As the first episode of the new series kicked off on Monday night (April 6), hosts Ant and Dec welcomed Ashley Roberts and Adam to their first trial.<\/p>\n

Both of them took a drink before being greeted by the presenters, who explained that whoever had a star on their cup would pick one celebrity who would be joining them soon to be on their team.<\/p>\n

The first challenge they were tasked with was called Tipped Over The Edge, as they had to get strapped back-to-back with their teammate to complete a puzzle. The fastest team to finish it correctly would then win.<\/p>\n

One of them had to collect the puzzle pieces on a ledge and then give the pieces to their partner behind them. They had to walk together for the other person to start creating a star from the puzzle pieces.<\/p>\n

However, the further they went out on the ledge, the more it would tip like a see-saw, and if they went too far, they’d both go over the edge and hurtle to the drop below.<\/p>\n

With Ashley getting first pick, she chose Sir Mo Farah to be her partner, as Adam and Beverley Callard were then paired.<\/p>\n

Although as the challenge kicked off, it involved a lot of crouching, crawling, squatting and holding positions for a long time to steady themselves, which didn’t go unnoticed by fans.<\/p>\n

Many were quick to highlight that Adam suffers from psoriatic arthritis, as one person said: “Poor Adam Thomas. This must be agony for him. He’s got psoriatic arthritis.”<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote: “Probably such a hurtful trial for Adam with his arthritis.” Another added: “I’ve forgotten Adam has arthritis, must be hard this sort of challenge.”<\/p>\n

One person wrote: “This can’t be good for Adam’s arthritis???” Someone else shared: “Poor Adam”<\/p>\n

The soap star was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis back in 2023 after he experienced severe knee issues and debilitating pain in his wrists. The NHS<\/a> website states it is “a long-term condition that causes joint pain, swelling and stiffness”. However, last year he gave his Instagram followers a huge health update.<\/p>\n

He wrote: “These last few weeks\u2026 my life completely changed! As some of you know, I’ve been battling psoriatic arthritis for the past 3 years, and it’s been tough, Constant pain, constant struggle.<\/p>\n

“But today I can say something I honestly never thought I would\u2026 I\u2019m pain free!! Not a bit better, not improving, but ZERO pain! None. For the first time in YEARS.<\/p>\n

“A few weeks ago, I had my first biologic injection, and it changed my life literally overnight. I know that for most people it can take weeks to work, but for me\u2026 it was instant. And I’m still in shock.”<\/p>\n
