\u201cWe are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos,\u201d Tjay\u2019s attorney, Dawn M. Florio<\/strong>, shared in an Instagram<\/a> statement late Monday, April 6, responding to social media speculation.<\/p>\n

Florio continued, \u201cLil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the former Migos rapper (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) confirmed to Complex on Monday, April 6, that Offset was the victim of a shooting near the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. \u201cWe can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,\u201d a rep for the musician confirmed in a statement to multiple outlets.<\/p>\n

Seminole, Florida, police confirmed an incident outside the hotel and casino in a statement to TMZ<\/a>, which first broke the news of Offset\u2019s shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood,\u201d authorities told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police,\u201d the police department added. \u201cThe investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public.
