I\u2019m A Celebrity<\/em>\u2019s Beverley Callard has addressed fan confusion following her breast cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The 69-year-old, who played Rovers Return bartender Liz McDonald for three decades on the ITV soap, announced in February that the illness is in its \u201cvery early stages\u201d<\/a>. She has since given regular updates to her fans.<\/p>\n

On Monday (6 April), Callard took Instagram to address any confusion regarding her appearance on the ITV show, which premiered the same night.<\/p>\n

“I know everybody thinks I’m suddenly going away to South Africa, I’m not, we did film it a little while ago,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The second season of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa<\/em>, which features returning campmates, was filmed in September 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
