Adrian Grenier Adrian Grenier gives a lighthearted update on his character Nate from The Devil Wears Prada<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The actor teamed up with Disney and Starbucks for a nod to the past while keeping the good vibes moving forward with Starbucks Energy Refreshers<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n After recently speaking exclusively to PEOPLE about TDWP<\/em>, Grenier is addressing it again and saying he’s available for the future<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Adrian Grenier<\/a> has no hard feelings about being left out of the Devil Wears Prada<\/em> sequel, and is available to reprise his role as Nate should the opportunity present itself in the future.<\/p>\n The 49-year-old actor, who played the aspiring chef and boyfriend to Anne Hathaway<\/a>\u2019s Andy Sachs in 2006, has teamed up with Starbucks and Disney to address his absence from the long-awaited follow-up and PEOPLE has a first look at the all-new ad!<\/p>\n \u201cYou might have seen the headlines \u2014 I wasn\u2019t asked to be part of a certain sequel,\u201d a rather upbeat Grenier says to the camera. \u201cBut I\u2019m good. Really. It\u2019s all good energy.\u201d<\/p>\n The camera shot widens from the close-up of his face to show Grenier standing at a Starbucks counter as a barista hands him a Starbucks Energy Refresher<\/a>, now in classic, lemonade and coconut milk versions, available year-round.<\/p>\n \u201cSo a toast to Nate!\u201d Grenier says, holding up the vibrant, fruit-forward pick-me-up at Starbucks.<\/p>\n Starbucks Refreshers \u201cHe made a mean sandwich, he loved his girlfriend, to a point,\u201d he says, taking a seat at a table.<\/p>\n \u201cHe wasn\u2019t perfect,\u201d Grenier adds of his character. \u201cSo let\u2019s leave Nate in 2006, and keep this good energy going.\u201d<\/p>\n The new launch of Energy Refreshers includes the menu is the Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher, Mango Strawberry Lemonade Energy Refresher and Mango Dream Energy Refresher.<\/p>\n A shot of the product and a Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em> logo flashes across the screen before Grenier makes his way back on camera.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, if they call, I\u2019m free,\u201d he says as the commercial ends.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether you\u2019re making peace with what was, refreshing for what is or refueling for what\u2019s next, Starbucks can help you move forward with all good energy,\u201d the company says in a statement shared with PEOPLE.<\/p>\n Adrian Grenier, Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada The Starbucks Energy Refresher collab isn\u2019t the first time Grenier has addressed his absence from the cult classic\u2019s sequel.<\/p>\n \u201cI spoke to David Frankel, the director recently,\u201d he told PEOPLE exclusively<\/a> in March while promoting his new project Self Custody<\/em>. \u201cI was disappointed… But, you know, apparently, my character is a controversial character, so he might need his own spinoff.\u201d<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for<\/strong> PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/strong><\/a> to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.<\/strong><\/p>\n He also acknowledged the backlash that Nate has received, adding, \u201cBut I have to stand [up] for my character.
